What we actually do, by the numbers.

We're a focused research and execution firm — not a generalist agency. Here's what that focus looks like.

14signals
Ranking factors analyzed in every audit. The framework took months to develop and validate against real ranking outcomes.
4,187practices
US dental practices analyzed in our reference database. Used to benchmark every audit against real industry data.
48hours
Standard audit delivery time. Every report is custom-built for one practice — no templates, no shortcuts.
100%
US-focused. We don't serve international markets, generalist B2B, or non-dental verticals. Specialization compounds.

Why this firm exists

Most US dental practices have a Google Business Profile that's underperforming — and they don't know exactly why. They suspect it. They feel it when a competitor shows up first in Maps. But they can't pinpoint the cause because the variables are hidden inside Google's ranking algorithm.

Meanwhile, the SEO agency model has settled into a comfortable racket: charge $3,000-$8,000/month for ongoing services that mostly involve posting once a week, responding to reviews, and producing reports the practice owner barely reads. The actual labor is 8-12 hours a month. The pricing exists because of the agency's office, account managers, and sales infrastructure — not because of the work itself.

Local Growth Insights was built to break that model. By specializing narrowly (US dental only), running our own analysis tooling, and operating with a lean structure, we deliver the same scope of work at roughly one-third the typical agency price.

What we do differently

We built an analysis system that does in 36 hours what most agencies stretch over 4-6 weeks: pulls your Google Business Profile, scrapes your top 5 competitors, scores you across 14 ranking signals, and produces a 12-page report with a 30-day action plan. We charge $97 for this.

For practices that want execution, our $249 tier handles the top 10 fixes — category corrections, business description rewrites, Q&A seeding, the first batch of Google Posts. Done in 7 days, not 7 weeks.

For practices that want ongoing management, our $1,497/month retainer covers the work properly — weekly posts, daily review responses, monthly ranking reports, quarterly strategy. The same scope a $5,000/mo agency offers, at less than a third the price.

What we don't do

We don't promise rankings we can't deliver. We don't lock clients into year-long contracts. We don't take on practices we can't help. And we don't recommend services a practice doesn't need just to upsell.

If a client buys the $97 audit and the fixes work, we want them to stay at $97. The retainer makes sense when GBP becomes a meaningful patient acquisition channel — not before.

How every audit gets built.

Six steps, applied identically to every practice we work with. The methodology is the product — not the analyst's intuition.

01

Scope & objectives

For each engagement, we identify the practice's core service mix, primary geography, and competitive positioning. This determines which keywords and competitors we benchmark against — no generic dictionaries, no boilerplate.

02

Data collection

Live extraction of the practice's Google Business Profile, top 10 competitors in the local search radius, and the 50 highest-volume dental keywords in the city. All sources are public — Google Maps, Google Search, public review data.

03

14-signal scoring

Each profile is scored across 14 ranking signals Google's local algorithm weights for dental queries: category structure, review velocity, posting cadence, photo freshness, NAP consistency, and 9 others. Red, yellow, green for each.

04

Competitive triangulation

The practice's scores are compared against the top 5 competitors in their local market. We surface gaps the practice can close in 30 days vs gaps that require 60-90 days of compounding effort.

05

Analyst review

A human analyst reviews the automated output, validates the recommendations, and writes the action checklist. Pure automation produces generic reports — we use it as input, not output.

06

Delivery & refresh

The 12-page PDF is delivered within 48 hours of order. For ongoing clients, the methodology runs monthly with a delta report showing what moved, what stuck, and what's next.

The four principles we don't break.

01

Transparent pricing

Every price is on our site. No "request a quote." No discovery call gatekeeping. The price you see is the price you pay. If it doesn't fit your budget, you'll know in 10 seconds, not after a 30-minute sales call.

02

Cancel anytime

Our retainer has no minimum commitment. If we're not delivering value in any given month, you cancel and we part ways. Long contracts are how agencies trap clients who would otherwise leave. We'd rather earn the business every month.

03

Refunds without friction

If the audit doesn't deliver value, reply to the delivery email within 7 days and we refund you. No forms, no calls, no "let us address your concerns." A refund is faster and cleaner than a bad client relationship.

04

Honest scope, honest timelines

Google Maps rankings move slowly. We tell clients that upfront. If a practice needs new patients in 30 days, GBP optimization isn't the fastest path — Google Ads is. We'd rather lose a sale than set a client up for disappointment.
